Duration of health and safety Trainings and qualification depend on the level of training and the intended objectives and outcomes of particular trainings. Generally, the Time duration taken by each type of Trainings are as follows

Level 1 health and safety Trainings – 1 day

Level 2 health and safety Trainings – 1 day

Level 3 health and safety Trainings – 3 Days

Level 4 health and safety Trainings – 5 Days

IOSH Managing Safely – 2 Weeks

IPAF - 1 Day

OTHM Level 6 Diploma – 6-8 Months

Admission Criteria for OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety:

To be eligible for the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, prospective learners must meet the following entry requirements:

Possession of a relevant NQF/QCF/RQF certificate or diploma, or an equivalent recognized qualification. This qualification should cover fundamental concepts within Occupational Health & Safety, including:

• Science and Technology
• Legal and regulatory systems
• Workplace safety and health
• Definitions of risk and risk management principles
• Principles and theories of safety and health management
• Occupational health and hygiene
• Occupational psychology
• Information technology, literacy, and numeracy

Acceptable qualifications fulfilling this requirement include:

• British Safety Council Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
• British Safety Council International Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
• NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business
• NCRQ Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health and Safety
• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• Mature learners (over 21) with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience
• Learners must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course.

English Language Requirements:

If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country, they must provide evidence of English language competency.
